ReCode : SciFi warrior concept (Blender 2.65a)

English : A simple sculpting session (about 3 hours) about mixing organic and hard surface elements (helmet and  shooes). I’ll add the armor another day. :o)
I made this test to prepare my second training DVD for “FormaCD”, focused on poly-modeling and sculpting in Blender.
Faces : 980.000 / Subdiv Level : 5 / No DynTopo

Français : Une session rapide de sculpt (environ 3 heures)  afin de tester le mĂ©lange entre Ă©lĂ©ments organiques et solides (casque et chaussures). Je modĂ©liserai l’armure un autre jour. :o)
J’ai fait ce test afin de prĂ©parer mon deuxième DVD de formation pour FormaCD, traitant du poly-modeling et de la sculpture dans Blender.

Birdy : First Concept

First post on this blog. Thanks to the guys who maintains it, to receive me as a guest.

A few days ago, I saw the wonderfull movie “Dark Crystal” once again. During an really long AfterFX rendering, I tried to define a concept close to the Skeksis design, a kind of “birdy” character but more “dynamic” and “agressive” than the original Skeksis. For now it’s just a really basic design, with only 1 Million polygons at the 7th level of the Mutlires modifier. I only used Blender 2.65, so no DynTopo is implied.

Il y a quelques jours, j’ai revu le magnifique film “Dark Crystal” Ă  nouveau . Durant un très long calcul sous After FX, j’ai essayĂ© de dĂ©finir un concept proche de celui des Skeksès, personnages proches des oiseaux, mais en plus “dynamique” et “agressif”. Il s’agit pour l’instant d’un design très basique, avec seulement 1 Million de Polygones au niveau 7 du modificateur MultiRes. J’ai utilisĂ© uniquement Blender 2.65 et par consĂ©quent, le DynTopo ne fĂ»t pas utilisĂ© dans la conception.
